Jp's Grill and Bar was founded by Jon Evens in April of 2004. Jon was no stranger to Sauk Rapids as he was born and raised here, and even attended Sauk Rapids High School. In late 2003, early 2004 Jon had a vision for creating a new business that would fit the needs of his beloved town. After much research and planning he discovered that there was great need for a Grill and Bar with a true hometown feel. Shortly after making this decision Jon found the building in which to place his dream in what used to be the Sauk Rapids Tom Thumb. Jon rounded up a group of great employees and began his "Field of Dreams" knowing that if he built it they would come. And come they did, now 3 very successful years later still going strong...
